World Final 2014 – Winners

The International Chocolate Awards is pleased to announce the winners of the 2014 World Final, which took place in London, 4 – 6 November 2014. The World Final judged the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners from around 950 products entered into the European and Americas Semi-finals and Regional and National competitions in Germany/Austria/Switzerland, Scandinavia and Canada.

The International Chocolate Awards was set up to recognise excellence in fine quality chocolate from around the world. The awards are designed to reflect international tastes and celebrate and recognise traditional craft companies as well as encourage new producers around the world.

Judging Panel

The judging panel is made up of experts, food journalists, bloggers, chefs, sommeliers and pastry chefs from each host country or region, overseen by members of the permanent Grand Jury, who travel to each competition. Over 16,000 individual judging evaluations were completed in all competitions in 2014, by hundreds of judges world-wide.

You can read profiles on each of the 2014 World Final Grand Jurors here. A list of the judges who attended this competition is published here.

Prizes

The categories, which range from origin bars to filled chocolates to spreads, are designed to reflect the current chocolate industry. Prizes are separated according to category, with just one Gold awarded in each category and a number of Silver awards available. For the bar categories we have also given awards for Growing Country Chocolate, Directly Traded, Organic and Chocolate Maker. These are given to the highest scoring eligible product that reaches the grand Jury round in its category.
