Italian/Mediterranean Competition 2015 – Winners

The International Chocolate Awards is pleased to announce the Winners of the 2015 Italian/Mediterranean Regional Competition for chocolatier products, which was judged in Florence at the Scuola di Arte Culinaria “Cordon Bleu” – Firenze, 19 – 23 February 2015.

The International Chocolate Awards is an independent competition recognising excellence in fine chocolate making and in the products made with fine chocolate.

International judges

The judges were drawn from local experts, food journalists and pastry chefs from Italy, France and Japan and members of our permanent international Grand Jury.

Prizes

The entry categories include flavoured chocolate bars, filled chocolates and spreads and are based on yearly feedback from our entrants and in consultation with the fine chocolate industry. All judging is anonymised, included at the Grand Jury final session, where Golds, Silver and Bronze prizes are awarded by private voting.

In view of near identical scores of the top two products in the “Spreads with milk chocolate” category, two Golds were awarded at the Grand Jury’s discretion.
