The International Chocolate Awards is pleased to announce the Winners of the 2017 Peru Competition, which was judged July 6-8, 2017, in Lima as part of the activities of the VIII Salón del Cacao y Chocolate, Peru.

The judging panel included food writers, cacao and chocolate experts, journalists, bloggers, chefs and chocolate tasters from Europe, South America, Japan and the USA and members of our international Grand Jury panel. The panel also featured winners and entrants from our World Final series, judging in this special growing country support competition.

Prizes

The competition judged entries from the following types of products: plain origin chocolate bars (dark, milk or white); flavoured bars (dark, milk or white), with infusions, inclusions, and filled; filled chocolates, drinking chocolate and chocolate liquors with alcohol.

** Bean-to-bar chocolatier products – recognising the growing trend of flavoured bars and filled chocolate made by chocolate makers, winning products made with an entrant’s own chocolate are marked with (**).
