British National Competition 2016 – Winners

The International Chocolate Awards is pleased to announce the Winners of our second British National Competition, which was judged in York at the Grand Hotel, York, 21-24 April 2016.

The British National Competition was held with the support of our organising partner, York Cocoa House, We would also like to thank The Chocolate Show London, host of our World Final in October and The Chocolate Way, a European cultural route for chocolate.

Judges

The judging panel included regular UK judges, along with pastry chefs, restaurateurs, journalists and other specialists from the York area and members of our international Grand Jury panel.

Prizes

The entry categories included flavoured chocolate bars, filled chocolates and spreads, and are based on yearly feedback from our entrants and in consultation with the fine chocolate industry. All judging is anonymised, including at the Grand Jury final session, where Golds, Silver and Bronze prizes are awarded by private voting according to the Grand Jury rules.

Prizes are awarded only to entries that meet the required standard for each prize.
